2. As much as possible write short sentences and keep your paragraphs short. Write 3 to 5 sentences per paragraph to make your speech coherent and brief. This advice also goes together with writing in conversational English because having short sentences can be digested by your audience better.

3. Find a theme, a single topic or thesis statement, and stick with it. This one also goes hand in hand with coherence and brevity. You can’t write an effective speech or toast if your thought is all over the place.

This does not mean that you can’t tell different stories. You can. Just as long as you stick to the topic, you can tell different anecdotes that can be personal, humorous, or inspirational.

4. When writing creatively, show, don’t tell. This must be the oldest rule in creative writing. Speeches and toasts are not instructional like this article, you can be as creative as you like. It is encouraged that you use colorful language like metaphors and imagery to enhance the flavor of your toast and speeches.

5. Make sure to have a point at the end of your speech. Your point can either be humorous or inspirational. As long as you have something to impart the audience and the newlyweds that will make them feel good about the matrimony and marriage in general.

I followed the general tips above and I made a good showing of myself. I made and delivered a good speech despite of being inexperienced in creative writing.   Why do we struggle with our wieght? Are we actually struggling with our weight or are we struggling with our minds. The answer is we are struggling with our minds. Intersting concept. When we want to lose weight we will purchase products that are very popular and marketed well. We will sometimes take the advice of a friend or collegue. We will listen to suggestions from our family. Some people will try to educate themselves to find the answers. All too often we will try to starve our ourselves, eat healthy foods(good choice), invest in programs, excercise, and the list goes on and on. It sometimes seems like an endless battle, but their is an answer. We are creatures of habit. We get up eat breakfast, go to work, each lunch, come home basically we revolve around our daily rountines. Everything that we do is set up in routine. We establish a comfort zone.

Our weight is based upon many factors, but we can control it. Just like we set up a routine with our daily lives we can set up a routine with our eating habits. You see most people when they are trying to loose weight they will eat foods that they do not like.This is because it’s recommended by friends, family, and so on. They set themselves a goal and usually end up not meeting that goal because they will always have that craving for the foods that they like. So they will eat the healthy foods and then eat the foods that they crave. This will cause weight gain. Cravings are almost an unstoppable force. Here is the secret. Eat what you crave. Now you must leave out the sugar.Sugar will cause all kinds of health issues( kidney, liver, and etc) problems. We can always find something that we crave that has natural sweetness. (fruits, berries) all natural. Now when you eat what you crave you will enjoy it because it’s something that you like to eat. The key is to establish a habit( a routine) of the foods that you like. Eat what you want for lets say two weeks.Now you must be consistent, but when you are eating the foods that you crave it won’t be a burden for you. After a period of time you will develope a food habit( eating certain foods consistently).Now here is the key. After you have developed a habit start to reduce the portions.At this piont you have gained control of what you eat.Now slowly back off the portions you will see how you start to control your weight. Remember its all in the mind. Once you gain control over your cravings you begin to control your weight.

Now once we gain control over our weight we begin to control our bodies. We start to see suttle differences and then big differences. We slim down and begin to obtain our desired figure. We then can incorporate body building into our routine. What ever your desired figure is or how you want to look you can achieve it if you gain control. You must control your mind.

Why Is Your Body PH The Most Important Factor For Your Health?

Your body pH is affected by almost everything you eat. This has nothing to do with whether or not the food tastes acid. It’s about whether the food makes your blood more or less acid. (Not that your blood is ever acidic, but it can be closer to acid than it should.)

One of the most important ways to improve your health is to choose to eat more alkalising foods, less acidifying ones. You might be amazed at the number of health problems that clear up when you lower your body pH.

The acidity or alkalinity of a substance is measured by its pH, a number between 1 and 14, where 1 is most acid, 7 is neutral and 14 is most alkaline. Blood is slightly alkaline, with a pH of between 7.35 and 7.45. For optimum health, it’s best to have a blood pH between 7.4 and 7.5, as over-acidity is more of a problem than being too alkaline.

Your body pH is constantly being adjusted. Exercise and most metabolic processes, including the digestion of some foods, lead to an increase in acidity of the blood. Excess acidity is dealt with in three ways: it is broken down and excreted to a certain extent; it is used up in stomach acid; and it is neutralised by alkalising minerals.

These alkalizing minerals are mainly calcium, potassium, magnesium and sodium. If you don’t get enough of these in your diet, they will be taken from stores in your body. That means your bones and teeth! Given the average diet, it’s not surprising that osteoporosis and arthritis are so common among older people in western countries!

So, which foods can help you lower your body pH?

In general, proteins, starches and fats are acidifying foods. Thus all meat, fish and eggs are acidifying. Most fats and oils are acidifying, with the exception of butter, which is neutral. Nuts, seeds and pulses vary. Green beans and peas alkalise; while most dried pulses acidify your body. Sugar in any form is acid forming, as is alcohol. Grains in general are acidifying. The important exceptions to this are certain ancient grains such as quinoa and millet. (These marvellous foods are also complete proteins – that is, they contain all the essential amino acids.)

Foods that are rich in the alkalising minerals include the grains quinoa and millet, and most fruits and vegetables. Yes, once again we come down to that – eat more fruit and vegetables. You can’t get away from it – fruits and vegetables provide us with vitamins, minerals, dietary fibre – and they help to keep our blood pH alkaline!
