Praying for Your Blog
Monday, November 16th, 2009Prayer is one of the most important aspects of a Christian’s relationship with the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 tells us that we should “pray without ceasing”. We are to pray continually. There are may benefits of prayer including a closer relationship with the Lord, less stress, answered prayers, and much more. As Christian we should incorporate prayer in every aspect of our lives including blogging.
Some of the benefits of praying for you blog include a stress free blogging life. By praying for your blog you are giving your blog over the Lord for His use. You no longer have to worry or stress over your blog. It is in the hands of the Lord. Now this doesn’t mean you don’t have to work hard on your blog. It just means you don’t sweat the big or little stuff.
Some other benefits include an increase in content creation, readership, and the perceived value of your blog. Matthew 7:7 tells us, “Ask, and it shall be given you …”. If you ask for the Lord to help in content creation or for an increase in readership, it will be given to you if it is in the Lord’s will. You must remember, however, how the Lord answers your prayer may not be the way you want the prayer answered. When this happens do not be discouraged but praise the Lord for answering your prayers. He know what is best for us and for our blogs.
Below are some ways you can pray for your blog:
Pray about the content you write and create
Pray about how you respond and react to comments left by other readers
Pray before accepting advertisements or sponsorships
Pray for your blog readers and those who leave comments
Pray for other bloggers
Praying for these simple 5 things everyday can make a huge difference in your blogging experience. Not only will you worry less over your blog but you will begin to notice a change in your blog for the better. Prayer can change lives and it can change your blog.
